Rex seemed to has stayed with his parents at 31 Idmiston Rd West Norwood SE27 until after his parents had died in 1925 and 1928. He was still there, presumably with Peggy when his brother Lionel and Cecily died, in 1933

Receipts show that between May 1938 and Sept 1939 Rex was buying 10lbs of Daropek Green tea every fortnight presumably with a view to resell.

He died supported by the National Assistance Board and such relatives as could lay hands on a spare pound or two now and again.
