Re. William Taylor Jones
Pigot’s directory of 1839 gives him running the Grove academy and he is still there in 1848 (White’s directory)
His marriage licence (D/ACL 1834) gives his age as 28 and his wife to be Mary Ann Taylor as 21.  A Luke Taylor witnesses the wedding.

In the 1832 Pigot a Luke Taylor is running a school, day and boarding, in Bridge End, SW.  This Luke dies in 1834 and leaves a legacy to his sister Mary Ann then living with him.  He also leaves a legacy to his father Luke, a hairdresser from Botesdale, Suffolk in his will.
